Well, Rasmus may think that frameworks introduce unnecessary overhead but personally I think frameworks are a life saver to programmers. I wouldn't embark on a big PHP Web project without using a framework. Perhaps adding more processing power on the server can offset that overheard Rasmus is complaining about.

Right, that is what Rasmus said by while all frameworks suck, you always need one.

Anyway, the frameworks do not need to be this inefficient. If they are more efficient, you do not need to add more processing power.
