This class can show and check CAPTCHA images eventually to protect downloads.

It can generate an image with random text characters rendered on top of a random background image.

The text is stored in a session variable for subsequent validation.

The generated image is served as the current script output in PNG format.

The class can also check if the user entered text matches the text rendered on the CAPTCHA image.
